Privacy Policy Your privacy is important to us. It is Our policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect from you whilst providing the conchable.com or dibsonstuff.com Services to you. We only ask for personal information when we truly need it to provide a service to you. We collect it by fair and lawful means, with your knowledge and consent. We also let you know why we're collecting it and how it will be used. We only retain collected information for as long as necessary to provide you with your requested service. What data we store, we'll protect within best-effort means to prevent loss and theft, as well as unauthorised access, disclosure, copying, use or modification. We don't share any personally identifying information publicly or with third-parties, except when required to by law. We reserve the right to use your company or organization name in our marketing materials or other electronic communication, and to share those company names publicly. Our website may link to external sites that are not operated by us. Please be aware that we have no control over the content and practices of these sites, and cannot accept responsibility or liability for their respective privacy policies. You are free to refuse our request for your personal information, with the understanding that we may be unable to provide you with some of your desired services. Your continued use of our website will be regarded as acceptance of our practices around privacy and personal information. If you have any questions about how we handle user data and personal information, feel free to contact us at privacy@conchable.com. This policy is effective as of 1 January 2020. The following data is collected when you use the Conchable service: - A Conch name - A personal name to associate with the Conch holder, may be a person's name or nickname - An email address for emailing the user about their Conch - Any information that is added into the callback API hooks The following data is collected when using the Dibs On Stuff service: - A Conch name - A name to associate with the Conch holder, the user's Slack nickname - A user's Slack token, Slack Team ID, and Slack Channel Name, for posting back to Slack information about their Conch - A user's company or organization name This information is stored in Amazon Web Services infrastructure, and is stored for only as long as the service is being used by the user. The data is permanently destroyed after someone has been "popped" off the top of the Conch-queue and it is empty. [EDIT: 2023-09-07] Personally identifiable information data deletion and retrieval =============================================================== A user may request that all personally identifiable information is deleted from the service by sending a data deletion request to privacy-delete@conchable.com. A user may retrieve all personally identifiable information from the service by sending a data retrieval request to privacy-retrieve@conchable.com. It is worth noting that whilst we will comply with a data deletion/retrieval request, the service itself does not retain, store or backup any personally identifiable information. We do temporarily store a user's Slack username, but it is only held for as long as the service is being actively used by that particular Slack user account. (I.e. if no "conches" are being held or queued by the user, then there isn't any username held by us, to retrieve or delete). To that end, a user may directly delete all information that we hold by simply a) uninstalling Dibs On Stuff, or b) not using Dibs On Stuff to actively queue. Any further information about data storage please address a message to privacy@conchable.com.
